How Does the Programme Help?
Students are encouraged to participate in internships during their studies and we will assist with providing internship opportunities.
The programme is inter-disciplinary. Courses are taught by both Finance, Information Systems and Business Intelligence faculty, and industry practitioners with finance, business, and computer science backgrounds.
Some courses are co-delivered by our faculty alongside industry practitioners to equip students with both theoretical and practical knowledge.
Our advisory committee will not only provide advice on programme design, but when possible, share their valuable first-hand experience with the students.
Graduates of the Programme have satisfied qualification requirements of IFTA (Institute of Financial Technologist of Asia) and could be admitted to the CFT (Certified Financial Technologist) programme for the exemption of Level 1 and Level 2 (Module 1-4).
Graduates of the Programme will be exempted for Module 1 (Technology Essentials) and Module 4 (Fundamental Software Development) from the Enhanced Competency Framework on FinTech by HKMA.
Students will have the opportunity to join the double master’s degree programme and study in our overseas academic partners at no or half tuition fee charged.
